okay, a few (spoilerish???? i doubt it) comments on B3's (?) post on Ridley Scott & comments on Blade RUnner 2 ...

ok, so he in essence confirms something we'd known / suspected for a long time ... namely, that Harrison Ford's character Deckard was in fact a replicant ... and, Scott says pretty much outright that Dechard was a NExxus 6 model, and, to paraphrase what Scott said, "So, who knows how long he can live..."

Um, hey, Ridley ... were you even there for any part of the first Blade Runner movie? Roy Batty and the other "bad guy" replicants were Nexxus 6 models, and they had a definite date of expiration. Now, in one of the "versions" of the movie, it's suggested that Rachel, also a Nexxus 6, was "special" ... not only did she have implanted memories, she had no termination date. So, Ridley, are you telling us that Dechard likewise had implanted memories (pretty much strongly suggested in all versions of the film, especially in the origami unicorn at the end and Gaff's apparent knowledge of what was going on a la "It's too bad she won't live, but then again, who does?" ...) and that Dechard had been put together with no termination date?

My final question, Ridley, is how you're going to explain that off? after all, ROy Batty wanted more life, father ...and Eldon Tyrell explained to him all of the problems with trying to modify a Nexxus 6 ... the problem is that apparently Tyrell didn't know how to fix a Nexxus 6's termination date thing, BUT he could figure out a way to make new ones WITHOUT the problem and thus no specific termination date?

Wouldn't that mean that the Tyrell Corporation was moving into the next generation of replicants? and wouldn't that necessarily mean that Rachel and Dechard were, at least perhaps, the prototypes for the Nexxus *7* models?

what a clusterfuck ... hey Ridley, can I have a job as a writer? I could help you out with some of these questions ....
