I interpret it differently. At least, if you mean the same part.
She says they missed one of his stashes, and that it immunized him. I didn't take that to mean that he smoked so much he was immune. I took it to mean that the particular untreated pot he had hidden away was the reason he was immune. Had it been found and treated, their plans likely would have worked out. That isn't true if he's immune just because of the amount he smokes.
