Odd. I was unaware "fruitcake" was a derogatory term applied to homosexuals. It's only ever meant "crazy person" to me. -- nm

As nubby mentioned below, maybe it's a northern thing, but "fruit," "fruitcake" etc were derogatory towards gays when I was in middle school -- nm
