in as much as they felt the need to tie it to the game, the locating-the-ships-through-water-displacement was kind of clever.
and i liked that they pulled back from the overly-techno parts of the movie by having the resolution decided by the old steam powered ship manned by the veterans. i thought that was a nice touch.
looking through the screen, you could kind of see the specifications in Neeson's contract that his involvement was dependent on the stipulation that he wouldn't have to share any screen time with Rihanna
