I have a friend who is at least 10 years younger than me who is extremely obese and has to use a cane due to bad knees...her doctor won't do

knee replacements unless she loses weight.
She has a history of pituitary tumors so there may be some hormonal cause, but she also has bad eating habits. Claims she can't swallow food unless it has lots of butter/cream/oil.
Very sad.
