Yeah, the smoking measure here has taken the same tack.

The tobacco company front basically is saying "you can't trust the government with your money".
The sad part? The tax raise would take us from 50th in the country to like 47th in tobacco taxes. We don't grow tobacco and we throw under even the tobacco states.
