the difference is how you get down to two cases...

(I'm not sure if I can explain this right by typing this and not being able to show you)

if it was the monty hall problem they would take away 25 or so cases to get me down to just two. they would give me LOTS of information.

with DOND if I haven't picked the right case, I have to earn all that information to get it down to two cases. by this I mean I have to correctly pick correct cases all the way down to two, and each time I do this I chip away at the huge odds that the monty hall problem allows if you switch.

in fact there might be an arguement that if you would have the million dollar case because of the odds against correctly choosing something other than the million case 25 times in a row
