The Royal Manitoba Theatre Centre is putting on A Few Good Men this month. Missus and I went to see it last night...

The acting I actually found far too broad for a professional company and I don't know if that's because of the material - marines yelling at each other is tough to play anyways but - but it was a definite drawback.

I saw Glengarry Glen Ross a few years ago and found that enjoyable, but the Sorkin patter lacked when I could feel the jokes coming a mile away.

But the staging was really well done and it's a fun story, so overall is was a good production, just not great.

And seeing the material live made me think that Tom Cruise is just perfectly suited for Sorkin dialogue and that he should try to get into another Sorkin flick. The beats and mannerisms of the roles are Cruise to a tee.
