Okay, so, I need ST to talk some sense into me here.

As you know, I had a job interview Monday morning - Will heard through the grapevine (in this case, it came directly from the interviewer/supervisor) that I was their choice. It's been a few days now and I still have not received a phone call yet, making it official.
Please tell me this is not abnormal. I've been a bundle of nerves for days. The only thing I can think of is that they are running the criminal check before offering me the job? I am pretty sure that takes a few days. Maybe??

I don't think it's inappropriate to call and follow up.

There could be any number of reasons holding things up behind the scenes, and it's totally maddening.

They might be waiting for official approval or something. I waited 3 months for my current job after being told I was their choice.
