build a faery house, you don't have to believe, I'm a professional atheist, but its true, it will stop you from loosing keys, cell phones, earings, pens.

don't bother making a country house if you don't live in the country (some articles insist it 'has' to be made from a hollow log, or bark shingle roof BS)

mine is made from a broken bird feeder, the kind that looks like a house, but you can use an old lunch box, any box like container (avoid cardboard if it will get wet) and decorate it with old keys, old costume jewelry, old pens, old cell phone or calculator, anything small and shiney as those dang faeries love shiney things.

hang it outside where it won't be disturbed or if in an apartment, stash it on top of a tall bookshelf.
