You can reach the equivalent of eliminating the tax cuts on 250+ by (instead of ending the tax cuts) eliminating some reductions but the public won't get that.
All they will undersand is "GOP won, Weak Obama lost"

I don't think it's that hard to explain. Particularly with all the discussion that occurred during this election cycle about eliminating deductions
