There are three playable characters in this game that you can switch back and forth between at any time.

The problem I have with it is that GTA:IV spent too much time on "the world" and not enough time on "the story" or "making me give a shit". -- nm

I think the soundtrack and wide expanse of the open map were very effective at creating a sense of loneliness, which I liked, but did become a downer. -- nm

I think I mostly didn't like it because the horse riding was useless. At least in GTA driving around was solid. -- nm
