Ours is slightly different because most states use the postmark date, but Louisiana is *notorious* for assessing penalties based on "received date"

Every year, we have to call and send in proof of mailing.
Mississippi will take two months to process a return and claim that was the date of receipt as well. They're worse than AT&T.
