That's like saying to the CIA chief, don't have kids because what if they're kidnapped and you could be blackmailed.

And for the FBI, or anyone for that matter, to be moralising over the implications this may have for national security is laughable. He wasn't sending her emails saying "hey baby, the codes for the nukes are 475638364958, I'll nuke that other broad to prove to you I love you" Besides which, any call for national security concerns were already treated with contempt when they decided to let reporters run shotgun on tanks while they went and blew up stuff halfway around the world. What's to say those embedded reporters couldn't have been blackmailed by AlQuaeda and got the reporter to send them a text message when a tank was coming to blow them to kingdom come. The whole thing is a joke. National security my foot. Someone at the FBI wants to embarrass someone at the CIA. End of.
