As well you should. BTW, did we ever make that bet about the Mets finishing dead last in the NL?

LOL. Whatever, the Mets didn't even finish last in the East (which was a total shock). (nm)

I do not recall that conversation, to be honest.

Hee. I found the thread. We actually didn't bet, but you were arguing the Mets would be worse than everyone but Houston.

also, quite a bit had to fall in his favor to get there.

Nothing had to fall in my favor. As I pointed out Vegas had 5 teams pegged as worse. I only needed 2 to be right.

Individual wins don't mattter. Team wins do. I had the Mets pegged as a 74 win team (which it turns out was rigth on).

right, the fact that you got a Cy Young performance from a 38 year old journeyman had no impact on 74 wins.

Dickey's CY was surprising, his excellent pitching wasn't.

Of course I didn't need them, what with the Cubs being....the Cubs. (nm)

I also did not expect them to be as bad as they were either.

That was the beauty of it when groiny said it. I had the Mets pegged at 74 wins, and there was no way that was the worst record in the league. (nm)

Not really, Houston, the Cubs and the Rockies all still undershot the Mets by more than 5 games. (nm)

You expected the Marlins to sweep the Mets in all 18?
