We are the last 2-3 years when we fired the best coach we've had in decades for a pretender.

in the ACC in football, we were in the mix as a 2nd tier school for the better part of the last decade. Behind FSU and VTech, but on par most seasons with the other teams (bowl-bound but nothing special)....
in basketball, we were top-tier until Gary Williams stopped recruiting ... Turgeon's already done better at that and we'd be back in the upper-tier soon.
