When MS wants to declare all-out war on a competitor, they enroll **everyone** on campus to do whatever to defeat the competitor.

It's a debilitating work environment, especially, when 'killing the enemy' isn't your core competency.

This is the strategy that made IE a market monster during the last of the 1990s and witnessed the death of Netscape.
