I used to carry my grandfather's work ID badge, but the hole was punched near the edge and the metal started to get thin

and I was afraid I'd lose it. So now I don't carry it, but I'm also not of the opinion that it would improve our odds of winning, so...
I never really carried it for luck so much as just to keep the memory of my grandpa close at hand.
