It's not just that you criticized him, it's that your criticism was WRONG.

You hated Smith all last year despite the fact that they were winning not despite him but as often as not because of him. Then he has arguably his best game in the playoffs against the Saints and suddenly you pipe down. Until the next week when he has an off week against the Giants (even though that loss wasn't his fault). Then this year, despite having an even better year statistically, you continue your "Smith sucks" b.s. I'm sorry, that's not being a fan, because you're rooting against Smith, and therefore the whole team.
