For no apparent reason, henchmen are willing to lay their lives on the line for the Skyfall invasion.

Back when Bardem's character had made them some money and won them an island, I understand the loyalty. Heading to an abandoned castle in the middle of the night for no tangible benefits, on the other hand...well, we're not supposed to think about things like that.

Unfortunately, Skyfall has a lot of those loose threads that tie together as an enjoyable movie without any real cohesion.
