While I agree with your assessment (though I think Hosea could win), Top Chef treats most elimination challenges as an island, meaning that a single bad performance could still take Stefan out. While the show does have a tendency for the best people to advance to the finals, last year saw the worst competitor barely survive week after week yet she almost won. She made it to the final three and offered her best performance to date in that final round. This is good news for Leah, who should be gone after this past episode. Meanwhile, the two best chefs last season made the final but one of them admitted he choked in that last meal. In short, nothing is finalized here, but Stefan has clearly established himself as the strongest overall competitor.
