There was an occam's razor to it in that Padma said she would send the dish back had it been served to her in a restaurant. There is no overcoming that, but it's so unfortunate because Leah quit not once but twice. The purpose of that challenge was to deduce the construction of a dish then replicate it. She knew she could not do that, so she didn't even try. Meanwhile, Jamie got everything right but she made a mistake in putting the pieces back together. I understand the thought process behind the vote (producing an inedible meal at this stage of the game should be fatal), but Leah not even trying -twice- was much, much worse. That was very frustrating to watch and comments I read from Jamie seemed to indicate she was bitter about the entire experience.
