I do have a router but I thought it would be good to have a firewall as well? I have Norton now and it seems to start to suck.

Gtalk doesn't load if the firewall is active. Then gmail starts to be slow if the firewall is active. This started to happen this week... so stupid.
But if a router is good enough then I don't really want another program running.
