I agree. Weird thing for me right now is that I have to deal with that sometimes with my fiance.

She has a hard time understanding why I do some things when I'm doing them for the sake of the kids. Her interpretation just doesn't meet with my reality. I know that it's really because she doesn't have kids of her own, but she doesn't know that. And I can't really say anything because she doesn't have kids because she wasn't able to and it remains the biggest regret of her life. So it would kind of be twisting the knife to point that out.
