and I spent the 5-10 minutes trying to keep him happy, occupied, no crying or screaming. I didn't really succeed all that well, as he was tired and hit meltdown stage pretty quickly, but it was obvious I was trying to shush him. I wasn't just ignoring him.

Guess I'll go back to apologizing every time he cries. :)
