actually you can buy used engines from japan for less than big repair bills like a valve job...

in japan the cost of registration goes up a LOT each year so many junk their car after as little as 3 years, traffic is horrendous so the average car junked only has 30k on them, used engines are imported to us, buy one for 900 - 1,200 and pay a thousand to install, cheaper than some repairs
