Run through the wireless wizard, make sure your wireless "radio" is turned on, temporarily turn off the MS firewall.

Make sure that you set your laptop to match the security settings of the modem. If you want to check, go sit down at a computer that's connected to the modem and type "192.168.0.1" in the address bar, that will get you inside about 95% of all modems. Look at the security set up, there should be tabs, and make your laptop match. After you've done all that, report back. :)


p.s. I somehow became the network czar at my house, with the desktops, laptops, tivo, dvr, and xbox all fighting for bandwidth.
