I don't disagree there's a downside, but for what that offense can do and has shown they can....this is necessary.

if your defense is aging and a weakness; you have to maximize your offense and this unquestionably opens them up a bit. And even with that defense being suspect, I'd think they can make enough stops to be worthwhile.
Either way, the status quo is showing lots of cracks for the Ravens.
