I am *exhausted* ... erph. Lots of sitting today, at the film festival.

The first movie we say today, after seeing Hunger and Flame&Citron last night, was Bart Got A Room (featuring William H. Macy), which I'd give about an A-. It was like a non-disgusting American Pie type movie, about prom night. Had some supremely funny parts, but some things that I felt were a bit flawed (and I had to knock points off because I hate the thought of prom and such ... there's a benefit to skipping highschool, and this movie succinctly illustrates it).

Then we watched a set of 3 films screened together. A short film called Blanco (which I'd give about a B+ - it told a story, for sure, but I felt like I missed part of what it was saying).

That one was followed by a film about Nunavik - no, not Nunavut - called "Melting Lands", which followed the lives of several Inuit people. It was quite interesting, and I'd give it an A-.

Keeping with the northern theme, the next film was called Reindeer Girls, about a nomadic group of norweigan people called the Sami. They herd reindeer in much the same way that cowboys herd cattle, except the temperature rarely gets above -15C, and they have to trek 250km through some obscenely harsh conditions. That one gets a solid A from me.
