She got what she wanted. She is out of a relationship that she thinks made her unhappy.
But, you both have children. Which means you will always be in each others lives.
Better to keep things cordial because you are still going to have to work together raising your kids.
I will tell you this. The bulk of your IM is a very common tale. Been in that before and have seen it before. You look at things logically (same shows, same radio stations etc) and she looks at things emotionally. What you see as things in common isn't always what they see.
