i think it has a lot to do with teammates. if i lead the charge, will they be with me to clean up? or will they scatter? will they follow but actually kill me?
those are all split second decisions i have to make sometimes, and a lot of the time its honestly: no. yes. probably if they do.
so is it easier to call out locations, then move around for the squeeze play? knowing if we get 4 kills, and have 2 deaths, we come out ahead.
a lot of my skill in halo is being able to get to locations, or situations, where i can clean up either the damaged that others leave, or to cause enough confusion that i can kill and escape.
i would love to be organized enough to give call outs (like that vid did) where teammates are working in loose cohesion and lead the charge.
yet, to be honest, guy out front has never been my strong suit. i need space to move, space to play, and it never seems to work right the other way.
so, sure, its a little of both. me being me and assuming what is going to happen, and all of us not exactly being disciplined enough to get the call outs, and understand where that is.
that is the other thing about watching that vid, everywhere was named, and everyone knew what i meant.
half the time, if I have a call out, no one understands where i am saying.
