The one thing that I do like about the Ika iPad app is that it sends you game alerts.

So, for instance, I now know that Darius X is back from vacation since my blockade of his port (I'd already removed all my ships) has been broken.
Also alerts when new messages are sent, goods have arrived at port, or when units are completed.
Still have to use the "add - 500, 5,000, or 10,000" buttons when transporting goods though since the app, for whatever reason, automatically adds a comma after whatever the first number is that you type in that field.
