If he's EXP, then tag along with him for sure, he can get a guest in.

And even if he didn't re-qualify for 2013, 2012 status doesn't expire until 2/28/13 so he should still have EXP until at least then.
If his status ever does expire, you can get a one-day pass on-line in advance for $50 or a one month pass for $99. (these are for AC, you can buy into FL but there are only 3 or 4 FLs and there's always an AC in addition to the FL wherever an FL does exist)
