it's farther from DC than Dulles, but way more transit friendly. 20 minutes to downtown Union Station on the Amtrak or MARC -- nm

DCA is (by far) closest to the city (right next to it in fact) but due to perimeter rules, you won't get a non-stop there from the West Coast.
