STIS - what can i do to help/fix a loud fan on an old laptop?

i'm sure this poor thing is going to die. can i save it?

        i took the outer case off and vacuumed - it's much better. i'll get some compressed air and do that soon. -- nm - Andie Jan 5, 14:27
