I loved one of the comments. The commenter wanted to name the bear "Amy Polar".

The whole story and a lot of the commenters kind of pissed me off, though. I just watched a documentary about polar bears on this very island about 10 days ago. They depend on the sea ice pushing into the shore in winter to catch seals. That winter it didn't and the bears on the island were starving.
Mafic told me one time that the only thing polar bears know is snow and food, and you're not snow. So the bears reaction was natural. So good so far, but if that bear had managed to pop the top of that cube and started attacking I'm willing to bet there was a guy with a high powered rifle waiting to shoot. How fair would that have been?
