I could see this vote not being about sovereignty or the death of federalism. with support for separation lukewarm at best, an ineffective liberal party, and a conservative party a lot of people find unpalatable, the bloc is as good a place as any for a centre-leaning person to park a vote, especially when you know it won't lead to separation.
