what i can only hope are helpful thoughts: with my new Galaxy, it felt huge until (counterintuitively) i put it in a case.

Like, it was too thin, so it was weird to hold, but since the case added more thickness than width, it became much easier to hold? so there's that.
battery drain is a motherfucker with these phones, though i do recommend JuiceDefender as being effective, *especially* if you don't play with it constantly and leave it in your pocket for longer stretches, which it sounds like you do.
