I can understand the reasons he turned it down, given that his brand is the $20 million/picture big-budget 4-Quad movie (with the occasional prestige pic to keep up the prestige)

i still think he should have done it, but i'm not sure he would have played the part much better than Jamie Foxx did. i'm not a big Foxx fan but he wisely put himself in QT's hands and just went with the role
