B2: My issue with "gerrymandering"

is where do you draw the line with minority representation (no pun intended)

Yes, district lines should be drawn in such a way that the sum of voting outcomes of each direct should match the state as a whole as closely as possible.

How do you take into account racial %, sexual preference, religion, etc.?


Hypothetically:
A state has 15% of the population that claim "Jedi" as their religion. Lines are drawn mathematically and the result is no district with higher than 30% Jedi, making it unlikely that any of the 20 districts will elect a Jedi. Is this fair?
