a lot of chefs are *incredibly* whiny about social media, customer-reviews, and more.

they seem to think that customers are idiots who can't figure out how to use yelp, can't determine what health dept ratings actually mean, etc.

I've heard Ryan Scott, who was on Top Chef and who has some restaurants in S.F., hawks stuff on HSN, and has a weekly radio show here go on and on and on and on, until I finally turn him off, even though I like most of the rest of his show.

they don't seem to realize that, by far, more food-porn photos than "yuck" photos are taken - which helps them.

insulting your potential customers = biting your own tuckus.
