The overriding "reasoning" of why there are so many characters/stories presented is weak sauce, and some of the material is run into the ground like an overlong SNL sketch.
However there is something quite infectious about seeing stars you like doing/saying things you wouldn't think they'd dare.
And a lot of those things are very very funny.
