Before the time of FB and not just because of FB but that's part of it...all you had was email and perhaps text. Now there are probably 5 ways to reach someone.

I noticed how hard it was to contact people when I was putting together a friend's Bachelor Party last year. Some liked to be contacted via FB, others liked texts, others liked emails - but only to certain email addresses. I missed the days of a single email address for everyone.
