ERA - 2.82 -- 17 games -- 99 innings -- WHIP 1.10 -- Walks -- 28.
ERA - 3.37 -- 11 games -- 60 innings -- WHIP 1.25 -- Walks 20.
By every statistical line; Strasburg was fading; and when you have doctors saying caution; when you're seeing Jordan Zimmermann who was on the same plan thriving...yeah, throwing caution to the wind is exactly what you should do.
And it wasn't Stephen Strasburg who blew a multiple run lead in Game 5 of the NLDS.
