The one change I have noticed is that I'm a lot more aware of what I am putting into my body.

Like, I just went to the cafeteria to grab something to eat (I'm starving!) and they just stopped serving breakfast, so I had to get something pre-made. I wound up getting a container of sugar-free jello because it was the only container marked 'sugar free'. I didn't know if the yogurt/granola combos were full sugar/carbs or lite, so I stuck with the jello. I've been getting a salad and soup down there for lunch, and I really pay attention to what I'm putting on the salad (no more cheese, balsamic vinegar and a capful of olive oil, less sunflower seeds than I used to, more veggies) and I now check the nutritional labels to make sure I am getting a healthy variety. (Turns out the chili down there isn't as healthy as the stuff I make at home! Go figure.)
This isn't to say that I'm only eating good food - I had one of those Hostess apple pies the other day (horrible!!!) but I made the choice and I knew exactly what was going into my system.
