haha, the first code I remember was being run by four docs before myself and another tech arrived. they were basically killing the woman. (the docs

aren't all required to have acls. only the critical care ones).

one doc was bagging the patient who was vomiting into the mask so all he was doing was aspirating the vomit into her lungs. the tech responding with me hip checked the doc a few feet and said "what the hell are you doing?" and proceeded to suction the woman. as he realized what he was doing, the doc disappeared into the background. I was a little more diplomatic and I offered to take over for the doc doing "compressions" so he could supervise. within a minute we had a rhythm back and she was breathing.

codes get easy the more you do them. it's all assess and treat what you find
