Who wants to give me advice about a silly first world problem....and no its not something Cappie would post?

So I recently joined the executive of a professional development organization. There is a woman on the executive who has the same name as my ex-girfriend (but slightly different spelling) and uses the exact same short form of it. The two women dont seem to be similar in any other way. However when any e-mail comes to me from the new person with her name, I know that my breath catches for a moment and my mood changes significantly.

Its totally unfair for me to project my feelings about my ex on to the new person but I am not sure how to get it into my mind that its been over four years since I talked to the ex and its a different person.

Thoughts? Yes you can laugh at me if you feel the need to :)
