We saw our server five times in the course of the meal. Once to take our order after someone had already brought us drinks, once to basically walk by to ask how things were (I don't think she stopped walking to hear the answer), then at the end when I guess she decided we'd had enough and just sat down our check...then to come back 10 minutes later to tell us we'd qualified for a half-off appetizer...than another 5 minutes later to actually give us the now-paid check.
Any thing asked for took at least 10 minutes, both of my drinks came from other servers I grabbed on the way by...there were only like twenty tables and at least 4 servers...that should not be beyond the scope of taking that damn long.
We were right by the entrance to the bullpen so it wasn't like she could get waylaid on the trip back with our request.
Kelly hardly ever complains about service, she was like 15% and that's only becuase Nathan was his normal messy kidlet self.
I was more than okay with 10% at most. And I'm almost always a 20% person at minimum

Kim and I firmly believe that everyone deserves 15% but there are rare occasions when we debate it for reasons like this. -- nm

I feel like occasions like these should be learning experiences.

the Red Robin in Wrentham was also pretty bad service-wise. -- nm

yuck. if there's a survey on the receipt, definitely do it - maybe send a note, in any case. I've been impressed with most of the service I've had
