So, unfortunately it looks like we'll have to find new daycare for Andrew.

He currently goes to a small daycare with just a few other kids at someone's house. We like the person, they are very nice, good with kids, and flexible to each child's needs. She even has a part-time (sometimes full-time assistant). And on top of this, she is very inexpensive for our area.

A few months ago she had some kind of neck surgery and for a couple weeks wasn't watching the kids as much (the assistant was). She often seemed kind of out of it and perhaps liked her medication a little too much, but by Christmas time she was back to normal.

Well last night when my wife arrived at work (hospital ER) the daycare person was there. Another nurse took care of her, but basically it was classic drug-seeking behavior. When the other nurse learned that she is Andrew's daycare person she was very concerned.

ugh. We should have a good fallback plan (which will cost less, which is good), but it's still very disappointing. Plus, Andrew liked it there and enjoyed the interaction with the couple other kids in his age-range.
