I don't think this is an indictment on the ownership; it's a new owner that was left with *nothing* when he took over

Crane and his GM left the cupboard completely empty and this new guy and his team are building. Why pay for free agents that are going to only get you to 95 losses when you can build from a foundation on up?
They drafted very well last year; they've not just traded for the sake of selling off any veterans like the Marlins did for no real reason.
They are horrid, but are taking steps to get better in accordance with their own schedule. That system and team were *awful* 2 years ago.
